Introduction
Captured in Arles in 1983, the work imposes itself upon the viewer's gaze not merely as a recording of reality, but as a dreamlike apparition, a triumph of geometry and sensuality. The black and white image is dominated by a monumental architectural curve, dramatically illuminated, from which a human figure leans out, almost like a mythological entity.
