Introduction
Taken in 1976 by the Swiss master René Burri, a historical and highly influential member of the renowned Magnum Photos agency, this photograph transcends mere architectural documentation to ascend to the status of an autonomous visual icon. The artwork depicts the Cuadra San Cristóbal, located in the Los Clubes residential complex in Mexico City, a masterpiece designed by the Pritzker Prize-winning Mexican architect Luis Barragán.
