Introduction
The image belongs to the critically acclaimed series Cathedral of the Pines (2013-2014), a body of work that deeply investigates the psychogeography of rural America, transforming everyday scenes into theaters of immense psychological tension. At the center of the composition, a female figure, dressed only in a thin white slip, stands at the threshold of a dilapidated wooden shed enveloped in shadow.
