Introduction
By combining a topographical approach with profound anthropological sensitivity, Brenner departs from classic reportage photography to embrace a meditative and highly symbolic aesthetic. The image depicts a sturdy tree emerging or rather, surviving among the shattered concrete rubble of a demolished structure, situated in a dry, dusty landscape near the city of Hadera, Israel.
